Super Blue Blood Moon

Did you see the Super Blue Blood Moon this morning?  I did.  This explains the name:

  • SUPER - because the moon is the closest it can be to the Earth
  • BLUE - because this is the second full moon of the month
  • BLOOD - because of the red tint from the Earth's shadow

FUN FACT:  The last Super Blue Blood Moon happened 152 years ago.
